Video: Adding Gaps Between Appointments
Setting a gap between video appointments
- Go into the conference in question, then select Configure Conference > Appointment Lengths. If your conference is set up as a Hybrid conference, where you have some blocks of time set up as video calls and others as in-person, select Video Calls under Appointment Lengths where you can set the gap.
- When a conference is being held by video call you can set the standard Video Call Length here (for more on this please see this article), as well as specify if there should be a Gap Between Video Calls.
The gap will apply for both teachers and parents and occurs at the end of their appointment.
The gap is set using the drop-down box.
A gap of less than a minute is subtracted from the talk time of the appointment.
For example: a five minute call length with a 30 second gap means that the appointment itself will be five minutes long. The countdown during the appointment will be for 4:30, and the video and audio will cease after that time. If the teacher or parent have another appointment due, that appointment will then start 30 seconds later.
A gap of a minute or more is added after the appointment.
For example: a five minute call length with a one minute gap means that the appointment itself will be six minutes long. The countdown during the appointment will be for 5 minutes, and the video and audio will cease after that time. If the teacher or parent have another appointment due, that appointment will start after a one minute gap..
